Who is really responsible for bigotry at MSNBC? The internet is full
of articles and columsn. If you enter imus bigotry and a year even ten years back you will find links with examples eto articles about bigotry in the Imus show.

Here's an example from the
Village Voice:

"But lately, Nobile has seen the mainstream media take up his cause. The trigger was pulled on June 5, when Imus commentator Sid Rosenberg called Venus Williams an "animal" and suggested that she and her sister could pose nude for National Geographic. Pretending to be shocked, Imus fired Rosenberg, only to rehire him the next day. The Times covered the ensuing controversy on June 18."

It's all documented folks - it's on the Net and all kinds of examples are in the DU archives reported by us. Enter Imus bigotry and 1997 or any year and you will find plenty.

My position has evolved to this -
The bigotry is coming from GE Microsoft NBC.

They are the ones who are bigoted and they found the right team to disseminate it.

We have proof of their partisanship and campaigns against Democrats and Independents.

They use this same team to facilitate it.

This 'issue' is very important.

How many years are we going to write to NBC?

1. The nation is full of bigotry.
Society permits this type of crap. Very few times do people stand up and call for change. If they do, it is just to shout someone down and not demand that change occur. We play whack-a-mole with bigotry.

7. Is this not the perfect opportunity to do something?
This is corporate bigotry. The message is coming from a Republican slanted conglomeration.

3. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and many others
also have numerous statements some have called bigotry. Fox sure has their own brand.

5. Are you excusing it? Do you want to keep on reading the
examples on DU? If brushing it off, aren't we telling GE Micorsoft NBC that it's OK to keep doing it?

6. The point to take here is that we have been given a gift . We have

it right from their two main representatives - Imus and his producer, Bernard. Not guests, not minor players, And we have Sharpton dogging it for us.

There are multiples of female athletes as targets. And we should not forget that the exchange included a remark about the 'cuteness' of the Kentucky team.

This is the time to turn - he must be fired - a firing will result in a bleed over to the other networks and stations.

I don't get why people want to brush this off.
