Want economic stimulus? Legalize the gay marriage!
Seriously. I happen to be in the the biz of renting a hall and catering for weddings, and just had a lesbian commitment ceremony this past weekend. It was fantastic, all were very happy, and I got a nice paycheck out of the deal. Imagine the economic boost of a gay marriage boom!

Just sayin'.....
:)

1. don't forget wedding gifts
I realized I was in favor of gay marriage in 1980 - my gay neighbors had a "commitment ceremony" and the only angst I had was what gift to buy :D

6. They added it up in Massachusetts--it brought in millions.
Caterers, hall renters, bands, tuxedo rentals, bartenders, table-n-linen renters, wedding planners, etc., etc. and so forth!!!

Anything that contributes to the paychecks of individuals, as well as state coffers, so that essential services can be maintained, is a good thing.

7. oh my gosh....now that just makes me dream of how I'd plan my wedding
. . .well, I suppose I'd need a partner first. . .:-). Hmm...well, now I planned on having Diana Ross sing, and a beautiful blue color scheme - my favorite colors. And yes, we'd be in tuxes, but the wedding parties would have options. . .well, except the ushers. I figured I'd have large shirtless bodybuilders as ushers to carry each guest to their seat...

oh my. . .my mind is just workin' overtime. . .haha.
