1. Lawrence O'Donnell - glassy eyed little MF'er
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lawrence-odonnell/whats-wrong-with-killing-_b_61766.html

What's wrong with what Michael Vick did? I have no inclination to do what he did with dogs, but I have no comprehension of what all the fuss is about. Most people who are upset about killing dogs or letting them attack each other have at some point in their lives caught a fish, which is as extreme a form of murderous torture of an animal as I can imagine. Not only have most of them caught a fish, they have actually eaten many more of them than they've caught. Which is weirder, killing an animal or eating its dead flesh? Most of us have never eaten dog meat, but in some countries it is a delicacy. Is there something evil going on in those countries? Are they violating the natural order of things? Should we invade them or get the UN to intervene? They are killing and eating dogs for god's sake!!!

What is the moral basis -- the natural law, if you will -- that accords special respect and protection to dogs in our written laws? And how does that same natural law allow for fish being clubbed to death on boat decks if they haven't died already from the hook-in-mouth trick we so enjoy pulling on them?

2. O'Donnell was normal last night on Countdown. What happened to him today?
Did Zontar attach a giant cabbage to the back of his head?

14. I don't know, he delivered a pretty good editorial on the Gates mess.
A little weird to see him defending the practice of dogfighting the next day...just because people eat fish...very PETA.

15. I think he was pointing out the hypocrisy
of the many people who are so outraged by what Michael Vick did. Our compassion towards animals tends to be very selective.

"Between bites at McDonald's today there will be a lot of outrage expressed about Michael Vick getting off easy. I won't understand a word of it."

The article was meant to evoke an emotional response to make people realize how limited their perspective is.

18. Actually Lawrence's perspective is probably limited
The teaming hordes of bacteria in and around our body will make short work of us if housefly maggots or wild dogs are not allowed to first. Course we would have to be dead and unattended for such time so that could happen but then again we should all realize we part of a circle and not an end product. The dogs around our house die of old age and i bury them out in the back acreage, they like us must end so others can go on.

I might suck to die but it's probably not as bad as never being able to live even if it's not a normal dog life. I feel guilty about our government torturing people for very stupid reasons but i still have to go to work to earn a living and pay taxes on it. Vick's biggest boo-boo much like our governments is helping people do things that don't come naturally

19. OMG, O'Donnell, you assclown

Just ask the wonderful people at Best Friends Animal Society, who took the poor pit bulls who weren't dead, and trained them to trust humans again.

What a jerk. And Vick should be thrown into a deep hole with a few vicious dogs.

6. A lot of talented people can't get jobs, Ed, why do you care about this sadistic thug?
How many great multiple degreed men and women are either un or under employed who will not receive a second of advocacy on ANY talk show, and Ed's audience is subjected to appeals for NFL forgiveness for a sociopath!

8. Michael Vick is a lout but PETA deserves to be mocked.
Very tired of PETA and its useless, sexist antics.

11. I just didn't view it as sexist.
Of all the things that PETA does, naked women who "would rather go naked than wear fur" is one of their most clever, least offense, and most effective. It makes them look like they have a sense of humor as well as a good cause. Women wear fur, women demonstrating against fur. Makes sense to me.

Just my opinion.

12. Did you go through all the pages or just the first one?
Edited on Tue Jul-28-09 01:33 PM by Hello_Kitty
Because on the second or third page there are bikini clad women in cages. Please explain to me how that isn't sexist.

Edit: Actually it's the 4th page.

13. I understand your offense, I just don't see it as sexist if it's self generated.
It's kind of like saying that a screaming queen who re-enforces homophobic stereotypes is homophobic rather than just acting silly and without self respect.

Now that it looks like the Public Option is gone, suddenly he says nothing.
It doesn't make sense.
