Hi everybody I'm doing a class project on blogs, and could use some advice.

I don't really follow the blogoshpere very closely, so I don't really know what's out there.

Unfortunately, I have to go "stupid hunting". I need some really piss poor examples of blogs. You know, the kind with "attention whore" headlines, scare tactics, quotes taken out of context, misleading figures, and facts that are just ass-end wrong.

Basically I'm looking for the blog equivalent of FOX news...

So if you guys have come across any "gems" recently, involving healthcare reform, birthers, hollow earth theory, whatever.

Since this is an academic paper, I'm hoping I can keep it politically neutral, (I know the "stupid scale" is warped to the right under all the stress) but for the sake of balance, if you know of any left wing blogs that have it wrong, I want to know about them too.

I'd appreciate anything. Thanks.

I know many educated, learned people who by and large consider any data found out and away from 'mainstream' sources to be suspect or likely to be untrue. This subject actually dovetails nicely on another thread here in the GD right now re professionalism hampering democratic progress in society.

Google any of the following:

Obama born in Kenya

Socialism is evil

Democrats suck

ACORN has ruined America

Abortion equals murder



Seriously, take any of their dumb talking points and Google them. You'll find what you are looking for.

You could do worse than www.balloon-juice.com they point and laugh at various idiocy quite a bit there.

Also www.sadlyno.com does a lot of that sort of thing.

I had a feeling my fellow DUers would be good at keeping track of these things
