List of Blue Dogs. Call Them And Say We Elected The Majority But Not Wolf's in Sheep's Clothing!
Edited on Wed Jul-29-09 07:30 PM by bkkyosemite
I am so angry at the Blue Dogs. The people of this Country elected the Majority as Democrats into office this year!!! We did not want Republicans dressed up like Democrats to deceivingly be in the mix to cause upset and not allow the Democrats to get things done. Ralm needs to be fired and I emailed Obama that comment.

The Blue Dogs do not want a strong Public Option in Heathcare and of course not HR 676 at all. They need to be called and told we don't like being decieved and they are gonna have trouble getting re-elected next time if we have anything to say about. This country voted for Change!!! And not republican values in someone who falsely calls themselves Democrats.

Pelosi is now trying to talk the liberal caucus into a watered down public option call her and Waxman too. I am so Angry!!!

Sorry don't have their numbers, if anyone can help appreciated. Thanks for listening or reading my rant.

5. I've used these numbers recently, they work, and please keep them.
Unfortunately, we will always need to call and remind our EMPLOYEEES that they work for us!

4. This will have the greatest effect if you happen to live in one of these districts.
If your district is represented by a Republican, don't be dissuaded from calling him or her.

9. That would defeat any message from getting though. They might reasonably conclude that
anti reform activists are trying to tell them to just say no.

12. So how many of these ran under AZ and ME public campaign financing rules?

Giffords, Gabrielle (AZ-08)
Michaud, Mike (ME-02)
Mitchell, Harry (AZ-05)

If they had run as publicly financed candidates, they should be investigated for "improper influences" by the lobbyists, as they shouldn't be allowed to get their money. And if they aren't publicly financed candidates, they should be targeted by some decent progressive folks with public campaign financing in 2010 elections.

We need to show how public campaign financing can shut down crap like this and make a BIG example of these folks here of how we might do with decent federal public campaign finance laws!

13. not a fan of the blue dogs economic policy positions, but I'll take a blue dog over a repub any day
Sure they can be infuriating, but the fact is that they haven't "deceived" anyone. Only six of more than 50 blue dogs are in their first term. Most are known entities to the voters in their districts. Many were elected in districts that are went for McCain rather than Obama and have elected repubs in recent years. A good example is the first name on the list - Altmire. In 2006 he knocked off Melissa Hart, an incumbent repub who was a rising star in fundie land -- a hardcore anti-choice, anti stem cell research, loyal repub (94 percent record of voting repub party line). Altmire isn't my cup of tea, but I'll take him over Hart - he's pro=stem cell research, has a positive rating from planned parenthood and a negative one from the right to lifer groups. And there is no chance a progressive is going to be elected in his district.

So, would I prefer someone with more progressive economic policies? Of course. Do I think he's no different than his repub predecessor. No.
