DC, SAN FRANCISCO PEACE MARCHES LEAD ALL LOCAL TV NEWSCASTS IN BAY AREA
including tonight's news on KGO, KNTV, and KPIX, and all had live coverage from the San Francisco Ferry Building where marchers were still milling around as late as 6PM.

Interesting that all stations followed these reports with the story of a troop deployment ceremony in Dublin, CA. The NBC affiliate (KNTV) also showed footage of a Navy ship leaving San Diego for the middle east, and lots of crying family members. Some stations then followed these reports with the story of a soldier from Hayward who lost his life in Iraq on Thursday.

Quite a remarkable change from the total blackout on coverage of only a few months ago!

3. Yep, an historic day
Wish I could get these reports up on YouTube. KTVU in Oakland airs their news at 10 in about an hour; we'll see if it's the lead story on that station, too.

It would be great to compile a DU list of all the nation's TV markets in which today's marches were the lead story.

4. Can any DU YouTube experts help? YT can't upload video after 3 attempts
I've edited last night's local coverage from all 3 newscasts into a brief, 320x240 42MB MP4 video but YT can't post the clip.

First attempt resulted in a 500 Internal Server Error; subsequent attempts never result in a confirmation message. Used MacOS 10.4 and edited and converted video in Quicktime. Clip plays just fine on my system.

Anybody have any suggestions? BTW, it's the first time I've tried to use YouTube; are there any tricks to uploading videos YT doesn't talk about?
