Carlos Watson (MSNBC) refuses to allow Mike Pence to lie about "$1T in new taxes"
Watson contends it is about $300M. Pence says $1T. Watson three times interrupted the glibly lying Pence (now, by the way, being called a 2012 presidential contender).

Pence maintains that smug, self assured visage through the whole thing even as he LIES HIS FUCKING ASS OFF.

1. Pence is being considered for a presidential run?
Oh please. I'm not ordinarily a praying man, I'm not sure if you even exist, but if you can hear me Superman, please let the Republican ticket be Pence/Palin in 2012.

9. Thanks. I will check him out. I always associate early morning MSNBC with
people like Scarborough and Imus. It's nice to hear that there is someone on who will not cause me heartburn first thing in th morning!

6. I don't know about him being best-informed and most articulate........
but he's definitely eye-candy. In fact, I stop listening to him whenever he is on-screen. I just watch him. And drool.

8. Well turn off the picture and listen to him

His life story is another great American success story -

from a poor family surviving on food stamps he makes it to Harvard, Standford Law where he was both editor of the review and president of the Student Law Association, Starts company makes a mint.

Watson was raised in Miami, Florida with three siblings. His parents are both school teachers. As a working class family, they often struggled financially throughout his youth, regularly eating off of food stamps. Being labeled a problem child early in life, Carlos was asked to leave kindergarten in 1974, but entered first grade the next year.<1><2> He attended Ransom Everglades School in Miami, then Harvard University. During high school and college Watson wrote over 50 articles for the Miami Herald and the Detroit Free Press, and worked for Miami Mayor Xavier Suarez and Sen. Bob Graham.

Watson graduated with honors with a degree in government from Harvard in 1991. He then worked as Chief of Staff and Campaign Manager for Florida Representative Daryl Jones and managed Bill Clinton’s 1992 Election Day effort in Miami-Dade County.<2>He then attended Stanford Law School, where he was editor of the Stanford Law Review and president of the Stanford Law School Student Government.<3><2>

After graduating from Stanford Law School in 1995, Watson began work at strategic consulting firm McKinsey & Company.<2> After two years at McKinsey, Watson left to co-found Achieva College Prep Service based in San Mateo, California.<2> Watson sold Achieva in 2002 to competitor Kaplan, Inc..<4><2>

Carlos Watson has more academic credentials than the entire Fox primetime staff combined.

13. I wish MSNBC would give him more time - I've been boycotting them until 3 PM
When Tamron Hall and David Schuster are on. With Joe Scarborough on 6-9, Ratigan from 9-11, Dr. Nancy on 12-1, and Andrea Mitchell 1-? (she may go off at 2 and somebody else from 2 to 3), I've been missing Carlos Watson in his one hour slot.

I guess I was trying to blank out the memories.

I like his department names which include "Kind of a Big Deal," "Good Sh*t" and the "C-Note," which is Carlos's daily brief. He's a sharp guy. Like him a lot.

15. Pence is my congressman.
He would be a GREAT nominee for the GOP. Get right on that. Before running for Congress he was a local wing-nut radio talk show host in Indy. Plenty of audio of him being a lunatic.

18. Whoa ..... I didn't know that he was a radio loon. That's interesting.
Is he a lawyer, too or just another run of the mill crazy?

21. He does have a law degree.
Of course there are plenty of run of the mill crazies out there with a J.D. His bio says he got his degree in 86 and first ran for Congress in 88, so if he did ever practice law it obviously wasn't a lengthy endeavor.

back down when refuting the Repuke talking points. He challenges all the lies with actual facts.

The lack of holding these idiots responsible for lying is why we're in such dire straits now.

20. To the side is Brewer getting more rational?
It seems I'm able to listen without my blood pressure going up of late (usually, I have to look without listening...cause she's hot) but now I can kinda do both.

22. I really like Carlos Watson
I used to see him on CNN (which I NEVER watch anymore) and was happy to see his move to MSNBC. I hope he gets a more prominent place at MSNBC. These republicans have gotten away with lying and not being challenged for so long, it's about time they get confronted with the facts.
