You'd think Pharma and medical equipment companies would be fighting
for Single Payer (or at least public option) since so many more covered people = so many more prescriptions written, equipment being used. Even at lower prices, volume should be a benefit to these industries.

to buy health insurance anyway. Big Pharma pledged to Obama $80 billion in savings over 10 years. That's only $8 billion a year. They know that that is a pittance in comparison to what they will be making.
They are in kind of a win-win situation - but they are tying their star to that of the private healthcare insurance industry - where they think they will make even more money.
