1. Here's the latest news from his site:
http://www.alfranken.com/blog/

Any Minnesotans with more news?

3. Thanks. Kind of looking for poll info though. None there that I could see,
And a net search only yields older stuff, from right when he declared.

Just wondering if any more recent polls were indicating he is gaining any....if his campaign is working.

Or if there is a Jesse Ventura hang over.

6. a week or two ago...
A week or two ago a poll came out that showed that Frankin had moved to within about 10 points, a marked closing of the gap since Frankin announced. Sorry I don't have a link but it was in GD if you want to do a search, and I believe the source used was a MN newspaper.

I think that the gap will close to margin of error before Frankin ever has to spend a penny of campaign money. :)

13. I agree, I would love to see Senator Frankin!
Frankin's intellect would run circles around the gop cronies that haunt the halls of Congress. I also look forward to the occasional well placed humorous smack-down that Al would drop like a bomb on the gop idiots spewing their talking points.

8. I don't think MN would consider Al Franken a Jesse Ventura
Al is representing the Democratic Party.

Jesse was an independent. Big difference, IMO...

And you should check out Tucker Carlson transcripts from yesterday. He did a segment, however, I didn't watch it but saw it before I switched the channel...

12. Yea, I figured that's where you were coming from
But I thought I would point that out. Because even with Al's celeb's status he will still have to face opponents in his own party. So, I guess we will have to wait and see on this.

Has anyone else declared besides Al?

2. i think it was on tucker's show yesterday where they were talking
about the fact that he is doing good--people are taking him seriously, and he has a real good chance with minn. and that the republic is in trouble (norm coleman--they didn't mention norm by name!)

5. Last I heard he was ten points behind Zipper Coleman.
But that's actually a good thing: he was polling twenty points behind Zipper the day after he announced his candidacy.

And Al hasn't really done much for campaigning as far as I can tell yet. This might just be a word-of-mouth increase.

7. I think Al can pull this off....
Especially when he starts to cash in on his friendships in the MSM. I figure he'll have money pouring in from all over the country once everybody knows he's being taken seriously in Minnesota. It sounds like he's really doing a lot groundwork in Minn.

GO AL!

14. I don't think they usually poll non-pres. races too frequently this far out.
