27. For the establishment, the problem with Mr. Carlin was that he saw too clearly.
But I think we do have a choice because it doesn't matter who controls the government if its about to fall. At which point we'll have a chance to re-boot with better safeguards so these rabid hounds of commerce and collusion can be contained. Learn once and for all that they exist to serve a public, not the other way around.

18. I believe it is the small, but devoted, clique of authoritarians that basically live here.
Any thread that questions or counters obedience to authority gets this treatment, even something as obvious as this.

Watch and see. They used to be required to take the time to jump in and derail or hijack threads, but now they have this little tool to limit exposure and push them down the memory hole (thanks George).
