1. "The Republican Party is following the policies of the No Nothing Party" but the greatest line
was after the tape that is linked,

Why are so many Republicans drinking this 'CRAZY JUICE?'

A true Matthews classic

2. I think that's far too nice a term for them
For them, it's more than a 19th century mindset that favors so-called native cultural values over those of immigrants. For one thing, there are no true native American values, except maybe those of the Lakota (aka Sioux), Dine (aka Navajo), Tsistsistas (aka Cheyenne) among others, as almost all of our cultural values came from abroad. In the case of the modern Republican party, it's a rigid patriarchal mindset that goes back at least 2,000 years. It's a refusal to accept science. It's a favoring of aristocrats and corporate elites over the common people. It's the celebration of cruel behavior, without compassion, and that is sociopathic.

3. sometimes I miss my tee-vee.
I thought the beer summit was a joke until I saw pics on the internets. I'm holding out for football season, but in the meantime, I do admit a certain longing to see Tweety Redeemed.
