Suspect in abortion doctor slaying chastises Operation Rescue
WICHITA | The man charged in the killing of a Kansas abortion provider has sent a letter to the president of Operation Rescue, accusing him of "cowardice" in condemning the shooting while seeking to protect himself.

The letter from Scott Roeder is the latest split in a widening rift between mainstream anti-abortion groups and those that advocate violence against abortion providers. The Associated Press obtained a copy of the letter Friday.

Roeder is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the May 31 shooting of Dr. George Tiller at his church. Roeder has pleaded not guilty.

Operation Rescue president Troy Newman confirmed that he received the letter Thursday but declined to comment other than calling it "more prattle" from Roeder. Newman said Roeder's letter, the second he has now gotten, was forwarded to a detective.

1. The Operation Rescue wack jobs now have an interest in seeing that Roeder fries
Or at least goes away for life.

Because if he gets out he's gonna be pissed. And he'll be pissed at THEM.

And we've all seen what he is capable of when he gets pissed.

3. Oh, I hate when this happens!

Just look at this. Jesus, if this isn't the bottom of the barrel. The scum that lies under the barrel.

And here I am, forced to agree with a fucking murderer.

Damn it if politics don't make strange bedfellows, but Roeder is right - the Operation Rescue fuckers are all weasels now that their fat is in the fire. All "No, we never advocated violence," and other bullshit, the lying weenies.

Now I want to see Roeder on trial, testifying about all the help and encouragement he got from the Operation Rescue folks.

That would make me happy, and would cause the anti-choice fuckers to shit themselves on a fairly constant basis, another good thing.

But, look at me - I agree with Scott Roeder.

Now, I must go shower. With lye. And Brillo pads. And high-pressure hoses from all directions..................

4. It sure would be nice to see some conspiracy charges filed, eh?

5. Since I am philosophically opposed
to all conspiracy laws - ever since I learned what they were, exactly, in law school - no, I wouldn't hold with that.

The implications, though, of a murderer telling his story and that of the unrestrained involvement of the anti-choice people would be history-making, and that would be good enough for me.

In reality, Roeder's lawyer would be insane to let him take the stand. From what I've read, though, the same effect might be accomplished were he to call some of the Operation Rescue people as defense witnesses - even if they ended up being treated as hostile - since I recall that there was a Post-It found on Roeder's car's dashboard with an OR phone number on it, and there was a phone record of lots of calls to an Operation Rescue number immediately before and after the murder.

There are all kinds of ways to nail those fuckers..........................................

"...after the murder."

BEFORE: "You need to take that baby-killer out, NOW!"

AFTER: "I'm sorry, you must have the wrong number."

6. It isn't all that often
I agree with you. On much of anything. But I am 100% with you on this one. As difficult as it is to type out loud, I too agree with Roeder. It will be interesting to see how Operation Rescue handles him in the future. Antagonizing him will not be in their best interests. Being supportive isn't a great option either. Oh my, this is actually kind of fun if you think about it. Gawd, I hope people are paying attention.

9. A great mind
is a flexible mind.

I honestly don't see how anyone could think otherwise on this matter. Operation Rescue is a heinous organization, has always been.

See why practicing law can be a source of enormous entertainment?

My only concern is that a plea deal will be worked out. If Roeder is facing the death penalty - I don't know that - then he might want to duck it by copping a plea, and that would negate the idea of a trial, which would be a tragedy all around.

I want a big, fat "Inherit The Wind" trial, with all the attendant coverage, constant, detailed coverage.

The more Operation Rescue is outed, the more shamed they will be.

They are murderers, as surely as Roeder is a murderer.

There is no other way to view it, but it's nice we agree on this, at least...............

:hi:

7. So, Mr. Roeder
What does the underside of the Operation Rescue bus look like?

10. It's too late -
he's got them by their balls (if they actually had any). It's all done now, sealed and settled and part of the record.

It's all his now.

How's that for amusing?
