1. Have any before and afters of the Bamyan Buddha Statues?
Since Afghanistan was such an idyllic tranquil place under the Taliban.

7. How do you weigh that provoked idiocy against the mass murder of millions?
Edited on Sat Aug-01-09 03:06 AM by ConsAreLiars
Well, I guess I already know the answer.

Do you need to see pictures of hundreds and thousands of maimed and killed and blood-spattered innocents? The pictures are available if you need them to attain or regain your humanity.

Here's one:

2. Beautiful shots, Cons.
I especially like the second one, but they are both gorgeous. I hope the day will come when the children can laugh and be happy again. :(

3. Agree completely. I added the proper
attribution to the photographers in an edit. See the one link I found to a gallery for more stunning images of Afghanistan.

8. *looks out the window*
Oh look... a bunch of goofy happy kids.

This is silly at best. Like everyone in this country just sits around with a big sad frowny face ever since we showed up. Sheesh...

10. "we" ???
You regard Bush, Cheney, the oil cartels and the multinationals and the death squads they control as "we"? Well, given your allegiance, there is no surprise that you regard the slaughter of innocent men, women and children with such indifference.

15. Yeah that must be it...
I'm sure you are really "deep" and you just "get it" more than the rest of us poor slobs.

I just thought you'd like to know that I saw a happy kid in Afghanistan today so your long wait is over.

Get over yourself.... :eyes:

9. Not surprised to see you guys coming out in this thread.
That things were not "peachy" before the mass slaughter of innocents is all you need to support the mass slaughter of innocents. "Saddam was a bad guy so murdering a more than a million was a good thing." I'd ask something about how vicious and jingoistic can one get, but I'd just get more of the same as a reply.

11. difference is my head isnt in the sands of the region pretending that all was peachy before the bad
westerners got involved, i guess it was okay when the talibunnies and sadam were killing their own people, kinda like some thought it was ok when adolf was only killing his own people and his neighbours....

17. I know and have known many whose lives are rather less than "peachy."
Killing them, as you endorse, never seemed like an option they would check in an opinion survey.

Employees/hirelings of the Corporatist International Murder Syndicate are no more at fault for the actions and orders of their masters than bank tellers are for theirs. Don't believe that getting a paycheck means you have to be brain dead, and maybe question why the terms of employment required getting brainwashed.

Bring back the Taliban, happy days for everyone (except those being executed for morality crimes). I mean she did ask to be publicly executed her alleged crime was adultery after all.
