Shit, Ben Stein is a dick!
We've Figured Him Out

By Ben Stein on 7.24.09 @ 9:45AM

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.

These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to "protect us" from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.

Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.

There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.

Even from this side of the Atlantic I can see he's a moron.

He's made funny commercials. Well folks, making money from funny commercials does NOT mean the person is either good or a lefty. This is a case in point.

7. I like Robert Duvall's acting, but he's a rightwing jackass!
People don't always distinguish between a person's beliefs and their personality or other traits.

Penn Gillette, of Penn & Teller is very amusing, but another right leaning jackass on many issues.

... written well and wittily by opponents a left-winger could respect and debate with.

Not any more. It's now well and truly in the Neo-Con camp ... as, I increasingly fear, is Tory leader David Cameron.

Bad as Blair was, our Bush/Cheney era may yet be to come ...

PS Sorry! Thought this was from the BRITISH Spectator. My bad.

13. That "clerk from the DMV" image reminds me of....Victoria Jackson.
Edited on Sat Aug-01-09 08:23 AM by vixengrl
Who used the same image in her screed from Breitbart of a clerk from motor vehicles. (Please wear special anti-ignorance protection when clicking this link: http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/vjackson/2009/07/07/ignorance-is-bliss/ ).

If we accept the premise that Ms. Jackson has arrived at her epiphany regarding what Obama-care would look like on her own, (she posted 7/7) I can only surmise that Mr. Stein has decided that Jackson is brilliant and agrees with her ten thousand percent. I'm not sure what it means when a person with his background comes to the same conclusion as an erstwhile comeienne with a botched peroxide lobotomy. Perhaps it means he knows the language to appeal to the absolute lowest (and in his smug opinion--common--although he's mistaken) denominator.

Leaving aside all the unfounded generalizations regarding his opinion of Obama's "ultra-leftism" and his ridiculous Glenn Beck-like assertions regarding Obama's racial sentiments, I'd like to address that in regards to his on, absolutely fake assertion about Obama's "total zero of an academic record". Surely Mr. Stein is not aware of Obama's background. If it is fine for Stein to make assertions about President Obama's mind--let me make one about his--

He's sssssoooooooo fucking jealous. Really sick with it. Probably hurts. I've come to the conclusion that Stein has bigotry against the genuinely smart since he started shilling for creationism. He adores the ignorant and wants to tell them things. But he knows deep down, the smart just aren't as easily sold, and it galls him.

Is he completely blind to the corporate bureaucracy that currently makes health decisions for milliions of Americans under managed health care plans? (Could Visine fix it?) He must have heard of such things, but to his mind, if such bean counters get a corporate paycheck to cut off a woman from coverage for getting another test that her doctor deems necessary, why, they they are denying coverage in the name of FREEDOM! Whereas anyone managing a government program is obviously a Red Communist apparatchik who would deny coverage based on dark motives only known to the party elites who fax rationing mandates down to his cubicle.

(Why didn't we all see that? Hmm, I guess because it's a batshit crazy way of looking at things.)

In other words, Ben Stein is a huge waste of space spewing ignorant nonsense. It's the same kind of ignorant nonsense you'd get out of a Glenn Beck or a Victoria Jackson--but because he's Ben Stein, someone (a dumb someone, but someone nonetheless) might take him more seriously, and fail to notice that half his article is made-up shit Stein might believe in, and the other half is made-up shit Stein probably knows better than.

And...he sucks. That is all.

Uh, no, Ben, that's what your buddy, psychopath GW Hoover did. We're still in the middle of your buddy's 2nd Great Depression, remember?

"Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do."
No, Ben, you ignorant slut. That's what we have now with your current system. That's what's happening NOW with righting/for-profit/unregulated/pro-death health insurance. I believe psychologists call this "projection". Seek help now, Ben.

21. In July 2008, on Glenn Beck's show, Stein compared Obama to Hitler. Last August,
on Fox's Cavuto on Business, Stein claimed Obama was an "angry black man." This is standard Republican fare: it's huff-n-puff -- nonsense which hopes to gain credibility by having people take it seriously enough to argue with it

Obama beautifully cut off the racist Republican attack in May 2008: I am the son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas. I was raised with the help of a white grandfather who survived a Depression to serve in Patton's Army during World War II and a white grandmother who worked on a bomber assembly line at Fort Leavenworth while he was overseas. I've gone to some of the best schools in America and lived in one of the world's poorest nations. I am married to a black American who carries within her the blood of slaves and slaveowners - an inheritance we pass on to our two precious daughters. I have brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins, of every race and every hue, scattered across three continents, and for as long as I live, I will never forget that in no other country on Earth is my story even possible
