It's not that the birthers think Obama's birth certificate is illegitimate

It's that they think any Democratic president is illegitimate. If we trace the birther movement we find guys like Jerome Corsi of Swiftboat fame and Bush syncophants like Joseph Farah. We also find a lot of the people who went after the Clintons.

Since they have a direct pipeline to the stupidest people on the planet through corrupt preachers and AM radio, they were able to exploit it.

We probably can't do much about the bad preachers, but we have got to do something about AM radio.

We have to destroy the media monopolies. We have to enforce the charters that say they have to serve the public, not manipulate it with lies. We have to force them to get the truth out while allowing a few of the ranters to continue to rant.

The Big Lie only works with a corrupt and complicit media. This is how both Bosnia and Rwanda started, with corrupt and complicit media, mostly radio.

We have to change this. Our country depends on it.
