3 US, 1 French Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

Military officials say three American troops and one French soldier have been killed in separate attacks in Afghanistan.

NATO and the U.S. military say two roadside bombs exploded Saturday as a military patrol passed through the southern province of Kandahar, killing three U.S. soldiers.

In a separate incident, the French military says one French soldier was killed and two others were wounded during a clash with insurgents north of the Afghan capital, Kabul.

I thought the French were such cowards who couldn't stand up to a fight.

...I understand that one of the American generals who are running things there once commented that the toughest fighters there were the French.

I feel bad for their families, and I hope the two who were wounded make full recoveries.
