For the record, I think the rumors were generated by the fact that neither has been photographed wearing a wedding ring recently. But I can think of a very reasonable explanation for that--with all the hands they have to shake, there's a very real possibility that someone could pull them off.

Nonetheless, while she may not be getting divorced tomorrow, why in the world should we start taking Palin at her word NOW???

A rec is a positive action, that, if done anonymously, is still a positive. A disagreement, on the other hand, is such that if the opposer wishes to verbalize it, requires one to reveal oneself. Then a discussion can take place. It could result in agreeing to disagree or it could result in a disagreeable disagreement. But no one is confused. An anonymous unrec is simply a chickenshit, cowardly, jerkoff thing to do. If one wishes to do it, one ought to be brave enough to man up and say they did the unrec and why. Without such acknowledgment, it is simply a way for a simpering, cowardly, chickenshit jerkoff to take a negative action and remain an anonymous, chickenshit, jerkoff.

I have **NO** problem with unrecs that are owned by the unreccer.

While I think it is entirely possible the Palin's could divorce, it sounds like speculation of that event is premature at best right now.

I don't take any pleasure dancing on anyone's grave for death, divorce, illness or misfortune. While I might take a private moment for a Church Lady-type "superiority dance" I won't broadcast my real feelings.

Honestly, I think a majority of us at DU are better than cheering at anyone's misfortune - regardless of how richly deserved at times.

That said, if the Palin's announce their divorce plans, y'all can find me doing a dance on my patio and probably laughing a bit.
