fun word definiton game, gets progressively harder.

Scratch your brain and send food to the hungry. Snopes tells about the founder of the game and about
The Hunger Project.

When my old laptop died, I lost my bookmarks and couldn't remember what website that was...

5. I got hooked, made a lot of rice grains, and heart my brain after 40 mins.
All to a good cause, and have learned some new Scrabble words.
Nice way to spend *yet another * rainy day.

9. I had to laugh when I saw the word 'salubrious'
file that under 'words I learned from reading Calvin and Hobbes'.

6. it's been on DU before
but I really do not see how it helps feed the hungry or even generates any money. Like this organization has money that they won't spend or rice that they won't donate unless I play that game? What is the point?

7. It's funded by ad revenue, like The Hunger Site
and the Animal Rescue Site. Advertisers place their ads on these sites and donations to the charities based on the amount of hits they get. Playing the word game causes ads to appear, and the ad money generates the donations. Simple.

8. oy yes, but I didn't remember seeing any ads before
Now I see them, ads for "Yum!" and Unilever, among others.

I did not fare so well on my world capitals. Some of those countries, like Slovakia, and Georgia did not exist when I went to school.
