14. W. is one of the chosen elite of God
according to the beliefs of the Family or the Fellowship, he was indoctrinated into their group after he was arrested for cocaine and a DWI. He went to live in one of their homes in San Diego and came out "born again". You can thank the Fellowhip for Faith Based Initiatives, and many other things that Bush did as President. His family has been involved with that organizationfor generations.

18. Tell me, who decides when a person is actually
born again. What do you have to do, wail for six months and shit your pants all the time?
Who decides? Is it a priest, is it some bisshop? Can you just claim you're 'reborn'? Like anybody can claim him/herself a hobbyist, an amateur-archeologist or a book reader, can you just be
'reborn'?

Or is this one of those scams that only rich white folks get to do?

48. W would not be a good example
A person who believes that Jesus Christ was the Messiah, who died for the sins of man and rose after three days is re-born. A person who has the 'Living Water' (faith) that Jesus brought to Earth. It is up to each man or woman to believe or not. If you do believe, YOU will know it. I know you were being sarcastic but I thought rather than engage in useless snark, I would rather enlighten.

I am rich by no means in the material sense and there is no scam.

Only because I still think there are people who have no clue just how powerful 'The Family' is. When their leader says it's ok for their members to rape girls just because they are members - well that's just fucked up

23. Good, good -
the value of my original Doonesbury cartoons keeps going up and up, and now Trudeau is taking the strip EXACTLY where it should go.

He didn't put in the complete - accurate - address.

It should be 133 C Street, SE, Washington, DC.

But, I suspect people will find it either way.

I wonder if he'll publish the address of their place across the river in Arlington?

THAT would be interesting, since it's in a neighborhood not really amenable to traffic or sightseers.

Should be interesting...................

the Capitol Hill (C Street, SE) place and a big house across the river in a residential area in Arlington - a cul de sac - according to the book. I think I know where it is, but the street address eludes me right now.

There's a lot of money involved in this outfit. A LOT............................

From what I've read, to get that kind of rent in DC you'd have to move into some really bad neighborhoods. Or suck up to "The Family"

34. From the amounts I've seen,
you could maybe rent a room in a very far outlying suburb, but, no, not even in the worst neighborhoods of DC could you find a deal like these guys get.

It's immoral, any way you look at it.

I would LOVE to see how the IRS views something like this. It's so complicated, I just wonder........................................

33. Here is a little info - link - 'C Street Properties in Arlington'
http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/blogs/sweetmolly/2009/07/c-street-properties-in-arlingt.php

Potomac Point (for women) is located at 2200 24th Street North in Arlington. This property sits on a lot that is 17,958 sq. ft. in size, and is owned by Fellowship Foundation, Inc. In 1990, Youth With a Mission (which also owns 133 C Street) bought this house for 580K, sold it to C Street Center in 1992 for $0, and Fellowship Foundation, Inc., bought it for $0 in 2002.

Ivanwald (for men) is located at 2224 24th Street North, and is also owned by Fellowship Foundation, Inc. This house was bought in 1986 by Jerome A. Lewis and Co. who sold it to Wilberforce Foundation in 1987. In 2007, Wilberforce sold it to Fellowship Foundation, Inc. for $1 million. Jerome A. Lewis and Wilberforce Foundation are significant to this story; more details later.

Cedars (former George Mason mansion, and later called Doubleday mansion), located at 2145 24th Street North, is categorized as church-owned and single family detached, and sits on 6.72546 acres.

I have uncovered some interesting patterns of ownership for the 133 C Street Townhouse, National Prayer Center, City Church and other properties near Capitol Hill, but that will be explained in a future post.

I'd love to see a well made documentary on this evil cancer in DC. Maybe there has been one done already? But if MM took it on, it would have at least some MSM attention. So much hypocritical humor to be mined, MM would be perfect to craft a deep exposure of this twisted den of iniquity.
