The Birthers Won’t Let It Go

When you have to go to the extent of FORGING THE POTUS’ BIRTH CERTIFICATE in order to prove your wacked theory that he wasn’t born in the United States; is not a citizen and therefore, should not be in the White House, you have gone where no sane man has ever gone before. World Net Daily has done it! They’ve finally proven that President Obama was, in fact, born in Kenya:

There’s just one teensy little problem here — The Republic of Kenya didn’t exist until 1964 — three years after Obama’s birth. Right wing blog Little Green Footballs is calling this a hoax, but leave it to the nutbags at Free Republic to take the debunked myth to a whole new level. See, the whole thing ties into the divorce of President Obama’s parents!

As Ricky Ricardo would say, “Ai, yi, yi….” while shaking his head. I tell you, there is no lengths to where these numbnuts will go with their treachery and lies.

I know most people are saying Obama needs to ignore this and go on about his business. As Bill Maher pointed out in his “New Rules” segment on Friday nite, keeping silent on this issue, as silly as it is, can take on a life of it’s on and blow up into a dust up that damages the POTUS and FUBARs his Administration before he’s in office a whole year; not to mention distracting him from more important issues he needs to be dealing with. Remember when John Kerry kept silent about the Swiftboat jackasses, his heroic war record got toasted; he was painted as a “flip-flopper” and more importantly, his refusal to shut up all that noise cost him the White House in 2004.

Bill Clinton kept silent about Whitewater - which was a real estate deal gone wrong. He ended up getting impeached for lying about a BLOW-JOB.

Even the POTUS himself kept silent about his former Pastor when he could have shut up that noise by challenging Sean Klannity to come to visit Trinity and find out what Jeremiah Wright was cooking. Because it wasn’t done, Mr. Obama had to fling his former Spiritual Advisor under a juggernaut to get to the White House.

I know there are many things that are so silly, no sane person should waste their time trying to disprove people wearing their tinfoil hats too tightly; but when a lie is repeated often enough, to many, it becomes perceived as the TRUTH. As silly as this issue about Mr. Obama’s citizenry is; unfortunately, he may need to go on TV, put his birth certificate in their faces, and say:

“You’re not concerned about my governance of this Nation when you force me to stop doing my job and disprove issues that have ALREADY been refuted. You will not be convinced if I do, and you are not convinced when I don’t. Alright, here’s my birth certificate - take a good look. Feel the symbol on it. And while you do that, explain why you didn’t give Arnold Schwarzeneggar half as much grief about his citizenship when you were ready to demand a Constitutional Amendment be passed to allow him to be President.”

We know it won’t shut these fools up, but at least it will demonstrate the willingness to back up what is already in evidence to these mofos until something else can be developed to hand out royal cans of STHU.

I like this birther movement. It's amusing and fun. August can be a bit dull, after all, with Congress out and the Prez going on vacation. Tweety has been doing a good debunking segment every day--can't wait to see what he says about the Kenyan forgery.

It's bad for the repubs--so let's hope it keeps on going for a while. It divides them and embarasses the heck out of the saner half of them.

Start by naming the Republicans in the room who do not believe he is an American Citizen, and then right there, ask them to leave the room if they truly believe that. He should put them right on the spot on national news.

Um, NO. He need do no such thing. Anybody with a brain already knows his HI birth certificate is legit. He has no obligation to pander to delusional psychotics. The BC has already been posted via Factcheck.org.

NOTHING will shut these fools up. Not even going on tv and waving a certified copy of his HI BC in the camera.

They could sue him and wind up in court and have a trial and present the certified copy as evidence and have HI officials testify as to its legitimacy and they STILL wouldn't shut up.

So the only appropriate response is for Obama himself to ignore them. Don't dignify that with a response is what my mom would say.

There's a level of cynicism that can be fixed with multiple forms of hard evidence. And there's a level of crazy that will look right at irrefutable evidence, touch it with their own hands, and still feel completely comfortable declaring with absolute certainty that the sky isn't blue, it's plaid.

The next time you hear a concern troll say "I don't understand why he doesn't just produce what they are looking for so the whole thing is over", be aware that the birthers have already said that ANY type of certificate they are demanding isn't good enough for them.

The Truthers won't, the "Fake moon lading" folks won't, the Roswell people won't, the JFK people won't... Once something like this has lasted long enough for people to stake their credibility/egos on them, they will never admit they were wrong. Hell, there are still people who say the earth is 6,000 years old.
