Say. Bette Midler was born in Hawaii in 1945. Does that mean that she's not an American?

3. Barry Goldwater was born in the Arizona Territory in 1909
Three years before Arizona became a state, and yet he ran for the presidency in 1964 without any problem. Well, there were some problems with his campaign, but his birthplace wasn't one of them.

10. I just canceled that gutless wonder
who unrecced. Asshole.

Hey, Bette Midler bought the film rights to my first book. We LOVE Bette, and I'd LOVE to see her and Orly go one-on-one.

Having spent an afternoon drinking and laughing with Ms. Midler, I'd put ALL MY MONEY on Bette in that match-up...........................

9. You don't see my point at all. Birthers obviously don't consider Hawaii a part of the USA.
So anyone born there, especially before 1959 - should be put under their toy microscope as well.

Duh.

14. But she's not President! Didn't you know that no one born in Hawaii can be President?
Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and he's not President: Barry Soetero, who was born in Kenya when it was an Indonesian colony, killed him and hid the body -- and Barry Soetero became President by pretending to be Barack Obama

16. On a serious note, anyone born on US territories is considered an American
citizen, like Puerto Ricans for instance. The same would apply for anyone who was born in Hawaii or Alaska when it was a territory.

17. I'll ask her sister or brother.
Seriesly. I've met them both. Bro Danny has a developmental disability, like myself; sis Susie lives in NY and worked in the field, which is how I met her. Alas, she is estranged from You-Know-Who, but is certainly fun in her own right.
