3. Yeah, I can say that I am pleased with my current provider...
but when this job is done, I'm screwed. I would prefer consistency in coverage that I would not have to worry about, like with Universal Health Care..there would be no gaps where I am not covered.

4. 80% that have insurance. That leaves out the 17% that don't .......ergo
.83 have insurance. Of those.8 are 'satisfied. Therefore (.83)X(.8) = .664 actually satisfied.
True stat then would be 66% 'satisfied'.

6. A better question would be
What percentage of Americans who have suffered a serious illness or made a major claim on their health insurance are satisfied with the results?"

Many of those who say they are satisfied with their insurance have never tried to use it.

8. Exactly.
I'm paying over $10K/year for private insurance. Everytime we've used it, it's been a nightmare to collect on. Thank Gawd my wife has the patience and determination to make them honor our claims. I'll bet the only satisfied owners of health insurance are the ones who haven't needed it. You don't get it until you do battle with a bureaucracy, incentivized to reduce/eliminate your claim for their corporate bottom line and their year-end bonus.
