26. Well, 12 hours later this thread has over 100 Recs, so what does that tell you?
It tells you that ultimately the most deserving OPs will get positive Recs and this one made it to the Greatest on the Front page. You cannot judge where a thread will be by the initial Recs. I have seen threads here that do not line up with the popular view of most DUers and it gets buried with negative Recs and it does not mean that it is because DU is full of trolls and freepers, but that we have Democrats here that do not think in lockstep and line up like obedient toy soldiers like the freepers.

31. That could be due to the fact that there's so little in the OP.
There were several threads about Olbermann's smackdown last night, and this was the least substantial of them that I saw.

Anyway, it's got plenty of recs now.

9. Watching Keith tonight, I had shivers
I remember Edward R. Murrow and early Cronkite.
Well, barely Murrow, grew up with Cronkite, and remember when 60 minutes was really an investigative show.
My worst fear is that all those guilty names ones will just laugh him off. They seem pretty smug.
Dunno what it will take to wake them up.

19. Considering the return donors get on their "investment", they are very, very cheap.
In the world of gov't contracts, for instance, a few thousand in contributions might get you a billion-dollar contract. It's such a massive rate of return, you'd be stupid not to bribe a congressman.

If the "health" industry is willing to spend 1% of what they spending on bribing members of Congress,
they could hire half the Russian Mafia to dispose of him.

That has to be one of the most eloquent and pointed commentaries on the airwaves in years, even for him.

I just hope that a few of the people who really needed to see it actually did so. I fear they did no such thing.
