Of all the problems the GOP/Bush-era has left us with ...
... why is the GOP-controlled media obsessing about the so-called 9/11 Truthers? (Well, not so much the fringe conspiracy junkies as the people who wonder out loud why Bush sat immobile in that Florida classroom for at least 7 minutes, who are being lumped in with the Truthers)

BTW, THIS IS NOT A TROOFER THREAD; DON'T THREADJACK!

A recent meme I've noticed is the false equivalency between the birthers (who rely on obviously forged documents) and people who questioned the competency of the GOP/Bush Administration in response to the bin Laden pdb.

A Rasmussen poll is being used to bolster the claims that "there's no difference" between the two major political parties because the "fringe" elements make up virtually the same percentage in both parties.

So, what's behind it? Well, besides the same old GOP racism and "they do it too" tactics?

Some of it can be attributed to what Matt Taibi describes as their insatiable need for the never-ending argumentRolling Stone, but is that all there is?

Could there be another reason why the GOP-controlled media wants us all to keep thinking about the GOP/Bush failure that gave us the 9/11 attacks (as well as the invasion of Iraq and the continuing quagmire that is Afghanistan)?

Do they want to keep us scared of sekrit terrorists lurking behind every "questionable" birth certificate?

Or, do they want us to forget about another of the GOP/Bush failures, whose anniversary is fast approaching?

What can our community do to remind the GOP-controlled-media that investing in our infrastructure is as important as an investment in our healthcare?

And, that we don't have to be scared every minute of every damn day?

2. I know we won't, but what about the GOP-controlled media?
Obviously, they'll be covering other things.
