The health care industry is spending about 4.1 million per day for these orchestrated boneheaded outrages. This isn’t taking back America, it is handing it ti the insuerance co’s and hospitals and MD’s and big pharma

Great video of the “sheep” at the Bishop Town Hall meeting. It’s apparent they are following the Neocon version of the 1st amendment, “I disagree with your position on health care reform Representative Bishop, so Shut Up - I’m trying to delay, disrupt and disturb like Bob’s letter told me to do!”
Don’t you just love it!

23. Like this:
"The Freedomworks town hall meeting “disruptors” should receive the same treatment as those perceived as opponents of Bush/Cheney at public meetings during the last administration, removed by law enforcement personnel and charged with “resisting arrest”, if they object, or, even better, like the anti-war demonstrators during the late ’60s, with fire hoses and police night-sticks. There is a distinction between lawful public assembly and disturbing the peace."

21. They had an FTC complaint against them in 1996.
http://www.quackwatch.com/02ConsumerProtection/FTCActions/ctca.html
Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Inc., and two affiliated hospitals have agreed to settle Federal Trade Commission allegations that they made false and unsubstantiated claims in advertising and promoting their cancer treatments. The FTC alleged that the respondents could not back up claims, among others, that through certain specific procedures such as "whole body hyperthermia" and "brachytherapy," they were able to successfully treat certain forms of cancer unresponsive to conventional treatment. The respondents also allegedly failed to substantiate a claim that their five-year survivorship rate had ranked among the highest recorded for cancer patients.

The proposed settlement would require the respondents to substantiate future claims regarding the success or efficacy of their cancer treatments and ensure that testimonials they use do not misrepresent the typical experience of their patients.

There's more information at that link. That was over 10 years ago so it's hard to say what's going on today. I'm certainly no expert so you should do your own research. Anyone with medical issues (I know that's not you) should speak to their physician.

25. I actually interviewed with CTC about ten years ago.
They followed up the in-person meeting with an over-the-phone questionnaire, which, evidently, I failed because I received a rejection letter. The questions designed to gauge my personal philosophy rather than my management acumen. They are a "for profit" treatment center with a "not-for-profit" 501(c)(3) foundation.

The more comments over there that let them know the public is on to them, the better.

26. LOL, check out Dick Army's post
Dick Army

Freedom Works is paid for by the Insurance Industry

And we want to shut down discussion of Healthcare Reform by using Angry Republican Mobs, just like we did with the Brooks Brother Riots in 2000 to stop the Florida recount. We ushered in a new era with George Bush at the helm and look how America was improved. When the truth is not on your side, use Angry Republican Mobs. They do the trick every time. And this time, we're getting paid to do it by rich CEOs of the Health Insurance industry, who collectively made over $200 MILLION in ANNUAL PAY last year. Isn't the Free Market wonderful? Now if all you sick people would hurry up and die, we could all make some more money. 18,000 deaths a year due to lack of health insurance isn't fast enough. We gotta kill off another 45 million of ya. Fortunately, the $1.4 million per day being paid to us and the $200 million in CEO salaries is being put to good use to deny your claims and stop a public option which would normally save your stinking lives.

(another) Tricky Dick.

30. Some really great posts there
Rebutting the pages of distortions.

Pointing out the manufactured outrage.

Connecting the organization to the for-profit health insurance industry.

Lets use the opportunity to carpet bomb them with the TRUTH.

The paid leaders at FW are pure evil on the take but many of the followers are just plain uninformed.

Actually, Conservatives ARE AGAINST reform. Bill Kristol has stated that we must “Kill Healthcare Reform” in order to win back seats in the Congress and Senator DeMint said we Conservatives will use Healthcare Reform to “BREAK THE PRESIDENT… it will be his Waterloo”.

That’s why great organizations like FreedomWorks is out to stop any form of discussion of Healthcare Reform. WE CONSERVATIVES DON’T WANT IT.

And we’ll resort to Angry and Violent Republican Mobs if we have to.

If Healthcare Reform goes through, the For-Profit Health Insurance companies will be forced to compete with a real healthcare plan that provides real benefits and doesn’t deny coverage to the sick. This will eat into the 100’s of billions of dollars of profit the industry makes each year. That’s money that could be used to save some of the 18,000 people who die each year because they can’t afford health insurance. Imagine if we had to spend some of that money to save those lives. That profit would dwindle to the 10’s of billions of dollars.

Oh, and by the way, EVERY Republican Senator VOTED AGAINST dismantling the largest public healthcare plan in the US: Medicare. Why do you suppose they did a stupid thing like that? Those old people are a drag on the taxpayers and they should be allowed to go without health insurance like the other 45 million Americans. You know, some of those old people are filthy rich and could be paying the insurance companies more billions of dollars in coverage that would never end up protecting them.
