who does this shit? someone had to drive all over Nashville and put these things up.

Fact is the Joker was last year's biggest non-political media meme, so I find the juxtaposition pretty unsurprising.

This is an attempt to portray Obama as The Other, someone driven by an alien, irrational ideology. Someone who hates you and wants to kill you for your freedoms.

Asking people if they were offended by it. It just reminded me of what a bunch of 5th graders would do to a picture of a teacher they didn't like. Not original, not unique and not funny.

You should look into it and if there is, make sure that the law is enforced. I know in my community there is a law against putting up posters on poles of any sort. It isn't enforced very much, but the law is there and if I saw anything really offensive posted, I would take it to whatever agency or politician who would listen to me.
