Jon Tester working on the farm
Jon replaces the clutch on his tractor during congress' spring break. Wonder how many other senators know how to do this let alone want to do it?
Good article goes with the picture. Get a load out of sour grapes conservative reader's comments.

2. In all fairness, a lot of Senators are old people.
In past times, one could even point to many having war injuries but... less and less of those these days...

3. Been there. The tractor part, not the Senate part.
He's gonna be sore for three or four days!

4. wow, this guy seems promising
A pro-RKBA, down-home, down to earth, organic farmer in the Senate (and D-of course), who is taking time to pass on his farm and knowledge on to the next generation.

I like him.

K&R, bigtime.

NC needs an equivalent. Lots of other states do too.

5. Great article - K&R.
:) I like Jon Tester - he seems like a genuinely good guy, and it was cool to read a little bit about his background & his life outside of D.C. :) Thanks for sharing this!

17. george uses "guest workers" like a typical republican. The photos of george clearing brush are as
fake as he is.

10. Perfect. The guy runs a business, has o make payroll...does his own repairs
because he can and also it saves a few bucks.

I'm waiting for him to cut loose. This prompts me to check his record closer. I'd like to see Tester and my Senator, Webb, team up.

Judy Martz and Conrad Burns are gone.

14. What ever they did worked. I remember the bus trips to Canada by Schweitzer
for low cost prescriptions.

Webb Schweitzer 2012...after Al and Webb fix things in a big way.

:)

15. Bill's comment was right on....
Even though with his senate salary Tester can now afford to hire a mechanic, it speaks volumes that he does it himself. So what if he milks it for a photo op too. How many other members of Congress could do something like that? None, would be my guess. The ability to fix things yourself carries over to other areas, and frankly I'm glad and not a little impressed my Senator can replace a tractor clutch himself.
