Six Degrees of DU
How many of us have met up in real life? I'm looking around the board today and seeing a lot of old friends. bettyellen, gabi hayes, Will Pitt. It's great to meet here but it's even greater to meet in person, especially now when the Birthers are rioting all over the place and we need to show up in person and stand our ground.

Which DUers have you met in person? How cool was that?

3. I met some DUers at the 2007 march in DC.
Wasn't solo so I couldn't spend as much time as I wanted to but it was great. :)

5. How would I really know? They have to decloak before I would know for sure.
While I have a met a handful deliberately at meetups and such, I have probably met many more in daily life without knowing of their DU identity.

I kept seeing a DU bumper sticker on a community college campus in NM...but I never figured out who that was.

but I've become closest friends with InTheFlow. She vacationed here, we vacationed with her in Biloxi when she was doing Katrina relief. A finer person you'll never meet. :)

Additionally, I met JanX when she was up here for the Iditarod, and I had the pleasure of having dinner with NorthOfDenali in Fairbanks a couple of years ago.

And I volunteered with ArcticDave on Diane's Benson's congressional campaign last year.

23. Yes, it was.
I recently spoke to another DUer, and mean to call still another soon.

I still wish that we could have a large DU-fest in some remore, isolated, old farm field. Kind of like Woodstock. I can think of a DUer in upstate NY that has a spot that meets that description.

But I suspect there may be more than a few of us at Netroots Nation in Pittsburgh next week.
Still, no way to identify anyone there as a DU'er. Kos will have a get-together, as will The followers of the AK blog, Mudflats.
Any DU get-togethers planned in PA? Not that I would want anyone to say WHERE on this forum.

So, just meet under the Oak tree at 4 p.m. Friday as per Agent Moran's memo.
