Anytime the democrats do something republicans don't like, Republicans will use the same exact tactics to stop the process. I'm one of the most forgiving democratic supporters, but if you pack down to these scare tactics then SHAME ON YOU.

2. Yes, I am afraid that if our Democrats do not stand up and do the

right thing here because of fear of these mobs then they will always have them around. Can you imagine a political campaign with this kind of actions wherever you go? The mobs are forcing us to pull together.

And that should not be taken as a compliment by those in power who have a "D" behind their name. A lot of common sense proposals in the bill have been jettisoned because of the actions of Blue Dogs and New Dems in Congress who insist they are trying to represent their constituents when even they overwhelmingly support overhaul.

If the repukes see that the mob tactic works then they will continue to use it. If you show them that they can get away with doing something like that then they will continue to do it.

On a similar note, I often wonder, if the Dems control Congress and the Senate and have a Democratic president willing to get things done AND the majority of the American people on their side. If they STILL can't get good health care reform passed with all that then I wonder what the hell can they get passed?

They're going to freak the fuck out and eventually blow up another federal building or worse.

Honestly, we are too divided as a country. We need to split, amicably if possible. If Texas wants to secede, we need to let them. If other states want to join them, fine. Some of us will have to relocate on both sides, but shit happens. Let the wingers go have their little laissez faire utopia and let the rest of us get shit done. Maybe when we compare the two countries side by side, we'll be able to make a determination which system works better.
