Dick Morris, Man of Action!

When asked how we get the two journalists who were imprisoned in North Korea home, the indomitable Mr. Morris replied, “I don’t know, I don’t know, maybe they don’t come home.” A lesser man would not have been so brave with other’s lives, but not the steely eyed, Morris. “Titanium balls,” he calls himself. See, Laura Ling and Euna Lee who both work for Current TV should just suck it up. Wrong place, wrong time.
Tough shit.

Morris may have made a career out of being wrong, back stabbing and selling advise to the highest bidder, but it’s all part of higher purpose he’s set for himself. To quash the rumors that he is the unfortunate result of the very un-erotic coupling between Tinky Winky and Jabba the Hut. And the subsequent rumor that he developed abandonment issues when Jabba left him at a young age.

And proving he is his own man has never been easier for Puddin as is it now that there is such an easily identifiable enemy afoot. He said that the crazies in Montana who want to kill ATF agents because of the UN, “Well, they’re beginning to have a case.” Because of Obama, you understand. He knows that Obama will be the downfall of this country with all of his socialist tendencies – and he knows this just as surely he knew that Katrina would lift Bush’s approval ratings to the soaring heights of September 2001.

Good thing Fox pundits aren’t scored for accuracy. For them, anyway.

So, how do we help this American treasure in his quest to prove his manhood? He certainly is owed something for all he’s done to, em, I mean for, our country. We could set up a fund to pay for a lifetime of for-pay toe sucking. But he has money. We could cheer every time his predictions turn out to be completely wrong. But who has that much time? Or, we could do the right thing and let the world’s thugs, terrorists, despots and pirates know that Dick Morris is not afraid to take his chances with them. Next time he’s in Africa or Asia selling bad advise, go ahead and take him. He’s not afraid.

Dick Morris: Pot calls Kettle “Tax Cheat”

Continuing Wednesday evening’s (01/21/09) Factor Fool Fest, Bildo “Revere” O’Reilly steered Worst Pundit in America Dick Morris to the topic of Treasury Secretary nominee Tim Geithner’s failure to pay his Social Security and Medicare taxes between 2001 and 2004. While it is valid to raise questions about Geithner’s tax delinquency (he paid his back taxes in full in 2008), to bring on Dick Morris to criticize Geithner is nothing short of bizarre.

For those who don’t know, Dick Morris was the subject of an IRS tax lien for $1.5 million in 2003, and was named on Connecticut’s list of top 100 tax delinquents in 2007, to the tune of $452,367 (see here and here).

To listen to O’Reilly and Morris discuss Geithner is to enter Bizzarro World. O’Reilly, feigning innocence of any knowledge of Morris’s tax affairs, asks him if Geithner is a crook. Morris verbally squirms, wanting to indict Geithner but knowing that if he does so he indicts himself. Bildo Revere deftly, if sadistically, gets him back on the Fox-track:

O’REILLY: Do you think he's a crook?

MORRIS: No, not in the sense that --

O'REILLY: Why -- why would -- here's my question to you.

MORRIS: I think he consciously --

O'REILLY: Wait. Listen to me. Why would a guy at that level nickel-and-dime like that? I mean, it's just -- it's little, little stuff. It's not like huge -- it's not like Marc Rich. Why would he risk everything, nickel and -- he says it was a mistake. He takes credit for the mistake, but he didn't do it on purpose.
