Did YOU call your representative? I did!
I called Jeff Flake's (R) local office today to complain about the GOP busing supporters to yell at the Democratic members of Congress during their town hall meetings.

I asked that he condemns these actions, asking how he would like it if the Democrats did the same thing to him in his town hall meetings?

I also said that he, as a younger Republican congressman, he should help rebuild the Republican party on a brand new message instead of going the same route, which led them to being out of power and having to resort to lies and scare tactics in order to carry their points.

The lady on the phone politely listened and said she would carry the message, but I doubt she will. Nonetheless, calling is not a waste of time. If I am not the only one to say the same thing, no doubt he will hear the message.

I may very well go to his town hall meeting and bring my story, on how I had to stop my promising small business in its infancy due to not being able to insure my wife and my stepson (15 years old at the time!!!) because of preexisting conditions (only one insurance would insure me).

Did YOU call your members of Congress?

1. I emailed my Rep this afternoon
I told him not to be bullied by these tactics and expressed my preference to single-payer, universal healthcare.

2. Emailing is not enough
They fired back with a stupid cookie cutter email.

You need to call.

3. Rep. Schakowsky (D-IL) is committed to a strong public option.
I did attend the townhall meeting she held in June, and apart from a LaRouche pamphleteer who was asked to leave and a few losertarians, there were no problems.
