She's really calling him out yet it hasn't devolved into a shouting match.

Meantime, the very posting under this one on the Latest page here at DU recounts violence in Florida that shut down a town hall.

Phillips is smarmy and slick but Rachel is too smart and sharp to let him snow the interview with an avalanche of irrelevancies. When he doesn't answer a question and starts blathering with his forked tongue, she draws him right back to her question in quite a disarming manner.

9. Two nights in a row Rachel has been punked IMHO. They have taken the

opportunity to rep themselves and USE her. She may call them out but not enough keeping them on track. She needs to pull the topic back in quicker and repeat repeat repeat the question. When there is no direct answer, she should ask for one. I think the disadvantage is that she is a woman and these ass holes use their pushiness on her. What a drag.....

12. Well I have to disagree here....people watching Rachael are NOT swayed

one tiny bit by these asshats. But Rachael gets some of their answers on the record- like the guy tonight stating that his organization didn't take any Exxon money .....she asked him twice and the second time he realized he was busted so he quickly added "....that I know of this year..." or something like that. It's good to have someone like Rachael there because she will NOT take their bait. She treats them with respect and that is ALWAYS going to mean she wins.

watch and become educated. And that is exactly what he said and also he gave another answer, which I cannot remember, which was a total partial answer so as not to lie.
I agree with most of what you said but think overall they are enjoying the occasional trouncing.
