The MSM, who does NOT want a public option....is allowing these ASTROTURFERS to look like legit grassroots groups. And because they are funded by big business we can never hope to catch up to them.

I hate to say it, but they're winning, and with the power of the MSM on their side there's nothing we can do but hope that people see through their LIES about unions and healthcare.

How can we combat this??????

reform. proper healthcare is a threat to these companies they will do and say anything.

8. These are only a few people doing this crap. The powers that be know that.
They also know the numbers as far as where we are going with health care. We will get reform. Just laugh at their asses. They aren't important. All their wealthy backers can do is back a minority of idiots to complain. This is as much about pragmatism as it is ideology...in other words...it's not all about helping the less fortunate...it's about saving money in the future. This much our bought congress folk understand.

our media outlets broadcast the stuff.

The media is playing this angle because there are no more real journalists who can get MSM air time. WE have to change that. It's hard work, I tell ya, but it doesn't have to be expensive dollar-wise.

12. Agreed. rachel has done this. I sent an email to Marketplace.org this evening when they
did a small "fake news" piece about how "we may never know who is funding these mobs" or some such. I had to read them the Maddow Riot Act. Did you see her show last night or catch it on YouTube?

More time allows the bullies to prepare. I hate to say it, but Bush shit passed a lot of crap right after 9/11. Zero discussion.

Something as big as this alerts the huge lobbyists and their puppets. Lengthy talks arm them to the teeth. We need to hear that more Americans are dying each day than died in 9/11 as a result of no health care or poor health care and this is a national emergency.

22. I am getting Pro-reform commericals on Philly networks..they are paid for
by the big Pharm groups...

That is not going to sit well with people who can't afford their meds!!
I for one was shocked ..it tell you ..at who was paying for the commercials..

So big Pharm is in the bag selling this reform to us???????
How is that supposed to make me feel?????

17. Are the disruptors being paid to disrupt? or offered other incentives?
If not then unfortunately, it's just a case of good organizing of a vocal albeit hateful minority.

The bigger story is that these disruptors are not being dispersed/arrested/prevented by local law enforcement.

Can you imagine liberal protesters being afforded the same luxury at say, Shrub's 2005 Soc. Sec. Privatization tour???

19. I don't think the reps are going to change their votes based on the actions of these crazies.
Whether or not the public at large realizes that these are corporate organized disruptions, I'm pretty sure that the reps know it at this point and won't vote against reform based on this.
