I have a cousin who lives in a different state who sends out racist emails (mostly about Obama -- surprise!). I am not on the email list b/c I asked to be taken off of all of his political emails. An uncle (not the cousin's father) is still on the list despite asking to be taken off of it. I think this cousin likes to bother this uncle because he knows him better than he knows me and knows far more about my uncle's politics.
Anyway, my uncle tells me this is still going on and I asked him to forward the most recent one. Appalling stuff.
My advice/opinion request is this:
I'd like to embarrass this cousin and send a reply to all (from a throw-away Yahoo account or something). I'd like to send an email to the entire group (30 people on this one) asking: "Does anybody have an idea why ______ gets such a kick out of sending racist emails?"
I'll make sure to include my uncle in the list, just so somebody doesn't think to look for a missing email and figure it's him.
But I'm wondering, can someone receive that email and find out that it came from a certain city? If so, that would narrow the list of 30 possible people to about 6. Not good.
My goal is to have this cousin wondering which of the 30 people may have done it. That's why I am going to do it anonymously. I want him to worry about it, fret over it, be embarrassed when talking to ANY of the 30 people.
So...thoughts? Suggestions?
