This is fucking disgusting and if we let this happen then god help us all.

It's Karmadillo's post on Healthcare Reform.

1. Whoever unrec's this go fuck yourself!
Edited on Fri Aug-07-09 12:01 AM by Lorax7844
Pardon the language for any that are squeemish about the f-word, but seriously folks, quit fucking falling for the media's distractions. Sarah Palin's divorce will not help your children get healthcare, Obama's birth certificate is not an issue that matters, every time people here would rather focus on Beck or Rush they are wasting valuable time. Time that could be used telling more people the truth. You are doing exactly what the powers that be want you to do, wise up, and don't let them kill real reform. Unless of course you look forward to your fellow Americans being fleeced and then killed for decent healthcare, in that case, by all means un-rec this thread some more you assholes, the blood is on your hands too.

12. This particular f-you was in response to the first of many URs I got
not the people that came later. I see now that it was ambiguous and other people got offended, sorry, I lost my temper.

I think it's bed time.

4. I unrecommended this thread, and I'm sure others have, too.
It's unrecommendable.

Threads trying to get traffic for others threads are always annoying and unrecommend worthy.

9. God forbid you think other posters need your personal instructions.
We all have a screen, and if we want to read the thread, we will. If we want to recommend it, we will. YOUR choices are yours, so stop thinking you're the clearing house for good OPs here.

10. sorry to get snippy, I honestly just wanted everyone to read the article and keep
it kicked. My tactics and temper to do get the better of me sometimes.

Seriously y'all read the whole article, it might just be the industry's wish list, but we have to make sure that the things that will hurt everyone do not make it into the final bill.

i read your comment and got all snarky, then regretted it after I posted. However, I have no problem whatsoever with promoting threads, how else are they suppose to get the attention they deserve?

5. K&U
Thanks for insisting on what I should kick and recommend instead of letting me decide for myself and vilifying people who disagree with your starting a whole new post with no useful content.

:hi:

11. but did you kick and rec Karmadillo's thread?
did you read the article, that is all I wanted. I saw it with no rec's and no posts, I wanted to change that. Please don't let my internet screaming detract from that.

I had a good motive but bad delivery. I vented and now I feel better.

Sorry if you personally were offended.

6. The quickest way to piss me off is to tell me what I'd "better do"
I have told many persons who unartfully expressed themselves thusly to go fuck themselves.

This has nothing to do with the thread you link, only with you.

8. No offense to you personally
but I get majorly fed up when really important stuff falls through the cracks but destructive, divisive, distracting threads get tons of comments. Karmadillo posted an article that everyone here should read, we need to focus on the things that will help us understand what is going on and it depresses me and pisses me off when people don't pay attention.

To those that unrec this for my tone and harsh language, I am very, sincerely sorry for offending you.

Peace.

...why isn't the Con Party supporting it? Why are the insurers spending so much money to defeat it?

15. Agreed, I think that bussinessweek is just pushing a wish list
but article itself contains a lot about what we should be looking for to keep it from being a bad bill. It is an important read.

18. No, not at all, unless they are lobbyest or freepers, those folks can suck it.
Edited on Fri Aug-07-09 04:46 AM by Lorax7844
I lose my temper when people unrec important threads, NOT JUST MY THREADS, really important articles and whatnot that people need to be aware of, no matter who is posting them. I'm not worried so much about my own ego, I make the greatest page every other day for something or another. Whenever something is important I feel it is my patriotic duty to get out my blow horn and tell people about it, because it affects us all. Usually the recs balance it out, but sometimes they don't and the threads fall like rocks, it drives me batty.

I just don't understand how anyone here would rather talk about Sarah Palin or birth certificates or whatever distractions that the corporate media is throwing at us, while issues like net neutrality, vote counting, good ideas about healthcare reform, etc either get unrec'd or ignored. They don't always but too many people get wrapped up in the distractions that the message gets lost and we lose the argument. Instead of using this board as a platform to promote decent ideas about progressive issues or good strategies, instead it becomes Sarah Palin central, or Glen beck said what, or whatever. I get very depressed because those things are a waste of time, we already know that people like Beck and Rush are going to be racist fucktards. The GOP and the corporate media have become the most predictable bunch of douches ever, when we wring our hands over their daily diatribes we waste valuable time. Time that could be spent getting a coherent argument together and getting a good message out to the masses.

I also think that there are plenty of lobbyests and freepers here just to push buttons and distractions, it is those people that my hostility is directed at. If you are not a freeper or a lobbyest, then please, please, please do not think that my yelling is directed at you. It is not, I assure you. DU is a big board and thousands of people come here, good, bad, Agent Mike, etc. when you have a huge collection of people you will always find trouble makers. If even for a second, I think that a freeper or a lobbyest is fucking with a thread, I absolutely lose it. i cannot help it.

I'm not perfect, I've butted heads with plenty of people here. My in your face way of doing things rubs some people the wrong way, for sure. I need work at honing my own message and delivery, I know that. I am a work in progress, sometimes I do things the wrong way. Trust me I make an ass out of myself daily. I also like to vent online, I scream and get it out and then I am fine. Getting out all my aggression online makes me a friendly and chipper person in the real world. It allows me to live in a state like MS and not unleash on stupid people or republicans that are nice but brainwashed. I try really hard to get through to those people and it takes a lot of finesse and patience. I look at online as more of a soapbox for me to yell about things.

To the few folks that are now mad at me, I offer my sincerest apologies. I promise the absolute last thing I want is to be fighting with good, hardworking democrats that want 99% of the same things that I do.
