What do you think of George Sodini?

I think a big part of his downfall was that he spent too much time on the Internet and didn't put enough effort into making things how he wanted them.

1. No. He was unable to interact socially with people. Have you seen his creepy videos?

He does a tour of his house (no pictures on the wall, even his "mess" is orderly) and is overly concerned as to if the 'ladies' will like it...it's just eerie.

He was so proud of his possessions. He reminded me of a bird that drags shiny stuff back to the nest to attract a mate.

3. I think he was fucked up...

Reading his blog, he seemed anti-social to me. I didn't get any clue he spent too much time on the Internet. Rather, it seemed he saw women as objects and thought dating was a process learned from a book.
He said his mother was a real controller. It sounded like he went out to happy hours and such but could never meet anyone. Most likely women were turned off by his odd/robotic behavior.

It is tragic that 4 women had to die because of him.

I got a picture of him as a very shallow and narcissistic person who placed a lot of importance on appearance (his own and others) and honestly believed that getting the right "look" and things would make the type of woman that he wanted (very young and attractive) be interested in him and fall in love with him. When his efforts didn't work he became angry and despondent. I got the sense that it never even occurred to him to work on his personality or become interested in things outside of himself and perhaps become more interesting to women. He wanted a woman but didn't want to be bothered with getting to know her as a person.

In all that time he spent on the internet he coulda found a date and got laid, since that is what he harped about.

He musta been a right strange one to have not had a girlfriend since '84 and not been laid since '90, or whatever. I mean, it wasn't like he didn't want it, right?

It became the most important thing in his life. He fell into a black hole from which he could not escape. He thought the Internet and technology would help him escape from his prison. It did not. He lived in a prison of his own making. In the end, it swallowed him.
