Apologies to our new mods, and help me understand some posting stuff please

Don't mind having threads moved and such, I generally post in GD and if something has to go elsewhere so be it. Sometimes I go overboard and and don't pay attention

One of the things I posted today was/is still on major news networks but was moved to a state forum, other things I posted were not moved to such forums (and were actually more local).

Not really complaining here, just trying to get what I am missing and how I can do better in knowing where to post things. With all the freak trolls you have your hands full and don't need me cluttering up things.

Are there hard and fast rules about what is local and what is not, and should I alert on stories to have them moved if they only happened in one state and do not affect another?

I missed something somewhere and will only post stories which are not federal in state forums if needed to save you all some trouble.

A newleywed hiring a hitman has no political connection and is really more of a Natalie Holloway type story to me.

Sometimes the GD mods will move a thread to a different forum if they think the thread is better served there. However, I can't give you a better understanding for your particular threads though.
