Can we get every Democrat to simply say that the Health Care Protestors are
simply too hysterical, that they have taken leave of their good sense and have yet to present a coherent argument.

It may be obvious, but getting a single unified message out that the opposition is behaving irrationally should work wonders. You know, the same sort of thing our side used to get tarred with....

1. The more I think about this
the more I wonder what they think they're going to accomplish. Do they really believe that the reps are going to say "gee, I think these insane hooligans have a point. I'm going to vote against any reform"?

At this point does anyone really believe that these are genuine grassroots uprisings?

3. yes.
I believe it is a profound mistake to mock these people.

Mocking them for the way they talk (yell), dress, their religion, where they come from. Calling them racist...

I see a lot of hate on this board, not that the other side engages in the same tatic, but we are better than that (generally, hopefully).

These people are for real and they are pissed. I would guess 1/2 are pissed at Republicans too, for looting the Treasury with the first bailout, and giving the money to their masters... THE BANKERS!

Then we go, with a super majority, and do it again and again, looting the Treasury to give cold cash to our friends (contributors).

It's sickening.

I am waiting for the Repubs to hold town hall meetings and the riots to start when they find out people are pissed at them too.

4. The bankers are actually looting our children's treasury.
But I think they're supposed to pay it back (with interest). Haliburton, KBR and their ilk had already plundered what remained of our treasury, and they get to keep what they took.

7. Ok... so why hand them billions and reward them for it.
Our party was tripping over itself to 'bail out' these fraudsters.

Free money. Billions.

Seriously. The AIG bonus issue would not exist if it was not done with tax payer money, the majority of Dems voted to give them.

5. I have no doubt that the individuals are for real.
But they have been stirred up, organized, and encouraged by organizations with corporate backing. They've been fed lies and had their fears stoked in order to have them advance the agenda of the insurance companies. You're concerned about the banks? Are you just as concerned about the insurance companies?

I haven't seen anyone mocking them for their religion. Have anymore strawmen you want to throw out there? People do complain about their yelling, but those complaints are justified.

You're going to be waiting a long for your hypothetical Democratic riots. I saw nothing on this scale from the Democrats during the 8 years Bush and friends were damaging this country.

Do you prefer pepperoni or sausage?

2. They don't want town halls anyway, so this is a perfect excuse to run and hide from the people.
