There's a cognitive dissonance to the "screamers".
Mark Levin, the right-wing radio guy, says these people are only protesting reform of the present health care system to a government-run system. That is an American tradition. Levin calls them "agitators". But are they?

If I don't want taxes raised on the wealthy, can I scream down all the Congressmen at a townhall meeting? Will I be called an "agitator" or a "capitalist sympatizer"? "Agitator" doesn't seem to fit the definition when we are screaming and yelling in defense of the big insurance companies? More like ignorant puppets.

It doesn't make sense when people defend the status quo over their own interests. They are so emotional that they seem ready to fight to the death to save their poor insurance company and their right to rip off whomever they wish, including those screaming in their behalf? There is a dissonance to this whole health care reform issue.

3. The difference being...
Code Pink was not protesting for the wealthy or the status quo, as are the screamers. When they did shout out, they were usually one or two people, not a mob pounding on the doors and shutting down the debate entirely. There is a difference.

4. Code Pink is not funded by corporations nor do they have corporate
or Democratic party operatives developing protest strategies and writing their talking points.

Second, Code Pink disrupts meetings because the Powers that Be are lying to the American people and Code Pink is bringing Truth to Power. The Teabaggers are helping spread lies and distortions so that the multi-billion dollar health insurance industry can keep sucking as much money out of the American people that they can.
