Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republican Operative

Rep. Steve Kagen (D-WI) faced a “heated” discussion about health care at a town hall meeting yesterday, with people in the crowd who were heckling, interrupting, and filibustering him.

One vocal attendee was a woman named Heather Blish, who identified herself as “just a mom from a few blocks away” and “not affiliated with any political party.” When interviewed by the local NBC affiliate, Blish insisted she was not a member of the Republican Party. “I left the party,” she said. Blish’s statements, however, are distortions. From NBC’s report:

Her LinkedIn page shows something different. She was the vice chair of the Republican Party of Kewaunee County until last year. She worked on the John Gard campaign, who ran unsuccessfully against Kagen last year. And it says she’s a part of the Republican Party for Kagen’s district, as well as the Republican Party of Wisconsin, and the Republican National Committee.

How remarkable: she's local.
;-)

I guess that's why she was the one interviewed. Can't have the folks bussed in from Florida -- they may not talk like Wisconsinites.

8. Seriously.
Do these idiots think they can just lie, lie and not be discovered? Of course, reich-wingers are pathological liars so she probably doesn't realize what she says will be verified.

12. Sure, they are discovered but that doesn't seem to matter any more.
Lying is expected and even honored in the RWing.

And the media doesn't really care to expose it. They have more news about MJ's brain to cover first.

19. I am very careful about what I put on my facebook page
I constantly get friend requests from people I don't know. I decline them. My family uses FB to stay in touch or I would just drop my account.

But anyone with a fraction of knowledge of how the internet works knows the first place anyone who is looking for you on the internet will go is FB.

10. Ummm..."distortions"???
“not affiliated with any political party.”

vs

currently a member of the Republican Party for Kagen’s district, as well as the Republican Party of Wisconsin, and the Republican National Committee.

Now to me, that ain't "distortions".

That's flat-out lying bullshit.

aka "republican".

15. Well.. GOLLLLEEEEEEEE... will this be reported to Chuck Todd?
It's the brooks brothers riot bullshit again. The insurance industry lobbyists will stop at nothing to fight this. This is how they trashed Hillary for trying to bring us health care. They will stop at nothing to protect their interests... as I pay more and more every month just to have catastrophic coverage for myself with an insane deductible.

It's okay.. all those good folks who are just out there protesting out of their deep conviction that this is wrong will ensure that we will have to hold a fucking bake sale to pay my unpaid costs should I need that skimpy policy. I really hate those assholes right now.

17. Can't even do that right!
Talk about incompetent! That bitch must really be stupid. She can't even disrupt a townhall meeting disguised as an average mom without failing. The instructions were simple, "Go to meeting, act stupid, be loud, don't get caught." No wonder republicans are doing so bad. Well, I guess she didn't quit, that's more than Palin did!
