Are the 'Turfers invading DU?

I've seen a bunch of bizarre fake posters on this board today.

Is there some sort of organized effort to troll DU and similar sites? I wouldn't put it past these no-boundaries freaks!

45. Mostly I don't even alert them.

But if others didn't, and the site were unmoderated, I wouldn't even engage them AT ALL.

As it is, and since I know they will be gone soon, I occasionally lead them on a bit.

44. Mine was at 5:30 Sunday a.m. and got deleted pretty quickly.

I doubt many people saw it. It was mainly 'shut up and quit posting.' No particularly logical reason given. It was in a thread about why Gov. Sanford situation was different from Gov. Spitzer (Spitzer not a family values religious hypocrite).

...to modify the Rec/Unrec to individuals that meet a certain post count? If that means I lose my ability to Rec/Unrec, then so be it but it would put a stop on the 'HnR (hit and Run)GOP Goon squads' running amok on DU.

28. There is one particular one that's been in DU a long time. But when you read the posts

they are always pushing the envelope. Always just a little misinformation. Last few included subtle support for the town hall disrupters. I haven't called alert because it may be just me.

An example: When someone suggested that disrupters be thrown out of the meetings, this poster answered that it would not be easy to throw out 2/3 of the audience. Making out as if the disrupters were in the majority.
