Things like this make me want to register Independent

I have not been here in a while. I have my strong dem war scars and bruises to prove my loyalty to the party, but things like this make me want to jump ship! My dem family loves to implode:

Last year, lawmakers excoriated the CEOs of the Big Three automakers for traveling to Washington, D.C., by private jet to attend a hearing about a possible bailout of their companies.

But apparently Congress is not philosophically averse to private air travel: At the end of July, the House approved nearly $200 million for the Air Force to buy three elite Gulfstream jets for ferrying top government officials and Members of Congress.

This is what happened when ANYONE makes decisions too deep in the bubble. They need a non-beltway middle American advisory group.

you should want to be independent over waffling on real healthcare reform, continuing the wars and ass-covering for the previous admin

but congress getting some new planes is a stupid story that oddly rankles people

You assume the planes are of no use like they are of no use to CEOs. I think Congress should not waste their time and if the planes speeds up their work fine by me.
