If you are concerned about the escalating violence (with it's underlying racial animus)being fomented by the Republican Party and it's operatives, please contact the SPLC, and request that they officially designate the GOP as a Hate Group and place them on their watch list.

Things are deteriorating rapidly, and it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed. The same people who are being whipped up into a frenzy are the same people who terrorize abortion clinics, murdered Dr Tiller, murdered the chairman of the Democratic Party in Arkansas, and murdered people in the Unitarian Church shooting because they were "liberals".

I lived through the '60's, the race riots,and 3 political assignations, but this is very, very different. Back then, although there was violence, we did not have computers, e-mail, twitter, on-line social networks, etc, so the violence was not as "viral" as it is now.

This is mob violence on steroids and is being condoned and encouraged, for the first time, by a major political party. It is, I believe bordering on sedition by one political party and it's corporate backers against a sitting Administration. Even as I type this, Rep. Brian Baird (D) is discussing with Rick Sanchez (CNN) the death threats he and other Democrats have received, and their decisions to cancel Town Hall Meetings due to escalating violence.

In essence, the GOP (Goons on Patrol) has effectively shut down one of the most basic rights of Democracy, the right to peaceful assembly. To think that it's not possible to meet in public with one's elected representatives without fear for one's personal safety or the safety of the representative is, to say the least, chilling.

If you really care about what's happening to this country and Democracy, I urge you to contact the SPLC, as well as DHS. We cannot afford to sit this one out.

I think what we're witnessing is the attempt of one political party to overthrow a sitting president of the opposite party, and I don't think we have any time to waste. I'm going to write to DHS as well.

edited to add: I just emailed them also. Asked if they couldn't get involved, and asked if inciting a crowd to violence isn't still illegal, and to keep an eye on the racist nature of a lot of the violence -spewing crowds showing up at town halls.

Time to send Dees and Cohen after them.

Was told by security at the hospital where a town hall will be tomorrow that I shouldn't come if I didn't feel safe.

The supposed peace keepers of our nation are showing a systematic brand of apathy about all this, it's as if they intend to sit this one out. I just can't perceive that as anything but racist and/or political. If we can't depend on our law enforcement see to their task with equal enthusiasm, (as they did during the Bush blackout), I think that says a lot.

I find these last few days I am walking around with the same lump in my throat that wouldn't go away just before the election. I don't want to raise my children in a second revolution, but I believe there's a chance I'm more afraid of there not being one.

These batshit crazy puppets clearly cannot bear the idea that it was their own lying leaders that have laid us to ruin, or that they're being used to destroy the country they say they love.

Unfortunately, they're becoming far too dangerous to simply pity.

When the rule of law is shelved to support the rulers of apparent order, I believe our options will be limited to a choice between the chaos that will surely ensue or the death of a once proud and independent nation. All options in between require steadfast action to cross the divide of justifiable ideologies. Prejudice and greed are neither justifiable nor conducive to taking a best collective step forward.

Let's remember - he / we won by a landslide 6% in November. We can wait them out. We will prevail.
