1. They must not be aware of Dave Barry's Law:
"You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment."

12. Especially at Michelle's age,
when it is almost impossible to get pregnant, when that little bulge starts to assert itself regardless. I know cause, been there done that.

17. I think it's that pregnancy is a quantum state
It's kind of like the Schrodingers cat thing, Though, in this one, openly speculating about whether a given woman is pregnant or not causes her to automatically collapse every time into the state 'not pregnant'...

2. If I lived in the WH and had to attend a gazillion state dinners, I'd have
a "baby bump" too.

6. Only in America: a glamourous 40 something woman has curves, so she must be preggers
If you only norm-reference to porn pictures and expect all attractive women to have perfectly flat tummies, I guess it's natural to assume any sign of normal body proportions to be a sign of a pregnancy. But in the real world, we come in all shapes and sizes and don't need to stick our noses in other people's business.

7. They better not have called it 'baby bump'
That's the stupidest fucking phrase ever invented. And I include 'Bushitler' in that group.

10. I think the term is analogous to "Colbert bump".
You have to admit that if they got pregnant, it'd add at least 10 points to the president's job approval. You humans are shallow like that.

21. Seriously. There was an article in HuffPo that said if she's not pregnant, she should be.
Because the nation needs an Obama baby right now.

Yes, it has not been developing very fast.

Maybe she has had two kids and hasn't had a "tummy tuck".

I would think that a REAL baby bump would be MORE than a bump by now. But on the other hand...

"I Didn't Know I Was Retarded"...featuring RW'ers being shown Obama's birth certificate, being shown France's and Canada's healthcare system, being thrown in Guantanamo for a week of frat-house hazing, etc etc etc
