DETROIT -- A Detroit-area lawyer is suing Procter & Gamble Co., saying his teeth have brown stains after he used Crest Pro-Health mouthwash.
Mark Rossman's law partners filed the lawsuit Thursday in federal court in Detroit. He says P&G should put a warning on the bottle.
Rossman of Harper Woods says his wife noticed brown on the edges where teeth meet other teeth. Despite flossing and brushing, the 34-year-old says the stains won't go away.
A message seeking comment was left with Cincinnati-based P&G. On a Web page, the company says stains may be a sign the rinse is working because dead germs may be accumulating on teeth. P&G says the stains are not harmful and could also be due to certain drinks.
The lawsuit seeks class-action status.
