100mpg Electric Hummer H3E to be revealed at Plug-In Conference

tryme submitted on 8/7/2009 Official AutoSpies Timestamp: 11:03:44 AM

A Hummer capable of 100mpg? Electric also? What the…? Raser Technologies announced today that their new 100mpg Electric Hummer H3E will make its official debut at this year’s Plug-In Conference in Long Beach, California.
The new vehicle is maybe the greenest Hummer of all times, and we don’t refer to the color…

According to the manufacturer this beauty uses electric motors till the speed reaches 40 mph after which a small gasoline engine is used to recharge the batteries, giving the Hummer a range of 400 miles before refueling.

4. My son loves these things...
Always brags about getting one when he's old enough to get a job. He's 10.

I can't get him to not like them.

6. Well, by the time he's 16 and legal to drive
You can still ban him from driving because you have to give the officials YOUR permission to let him drive.

Let him learn about public transportation.

9. He also wants a Mustang convertable, a motorcycle and all the major gaming consoles, too...
He's only 10 years old. Kids his age want everything. We went through similar things with our older daughters, too. They outgrow it.

7. This is all about playing loose with specifications, and technically speaking, a bunch of crap.

8. Really hard to believe
a car of that size and weight, with the aerodynamics of a brick, getting 100mpg?
It almost seems absurd. I will believe it when I see it.
