Does anyone here believe that...
Pelosi, Reid and even the WH, had no idea that, by not forcing a pre-recess vote on Health Care Reform, they were going to face onslaught by the GOP Nutter Machine all summer? I call Bullshit!!! I knew, you knew, so they knew too.

So why didn't they act when they had the ball in their court? When we were all hot, sweaty and panting for it after seeing the Prez do his sales pitch on prime time tv, even though we had no clear idea what we salivating for?

Personally, I think it is because it is a shit piece of compromised legislation that pleased neither the Progressives nor the 'Blue Dog' conservatives. The in-Party fighting was coming at them from both sides - and how! So, how do our overlords unite the 'Party' behind a crappy bill?

Eureka! Let the right wing nut jobs of the GOP have at it all summer long! We're so distracted by fighting the moran nut jobs that we've taken our eye off the fact that it's a piece of crap proposal. But we'll unite behind it, we'll fight for it, because 'they' are fighting against it.

We'll be so convinced, that when the House reconvenes, and passes this (or an even more watered down bill) that we've won a Victory!!

I'm not buying it. I refuse to be manipulated into cheer leading for a bill that does not include either Single Payer/Universal Health Care or a STRONG Public Option - where the option is the insured's.

1. If the full House had passed a good bill by now, then...
...liberals would have something definite to defend.

2. You're WAY to early with this, pallie
The order to remove heads from sand (or an anatomical crease) has yet to be issued.

3. Unfortunately....
I'd bet that many do accept that, just as they seem willing to accept any health care reform as a positive change.

It doesn't help that the Pubs aren't exactly offering the most constructive criticism.
