I had my CT earlier today

Drinking the barium (banana smoothie flavored yum!) was by far the worst. I did manage not to upchuck:)
I hope I never ever ever have to drink that again. The test itself, while a little freaky for someone who never has had anything like this done. It only took about 15 minutes and it wasn't that noisy. The moving in and out was maybe a little disconcerting as was the fun sensation after getting the IV contrast (I can't even begin to explain it, it was very strange). But over all it was okay. Now I just have to get the results. I still feel very tired and the tenderness on my left side seems a little worse- my cat was climbing on me this morning and it really hurt when she tried to sit on my side, something I normally don't mind. Well a week to find out I suppose. Thanks for all the well wishes from my earlier post. It is MUCH appreciated!

I knew in the middle of mine last fall that something was wrong--the techs' faces changed to that blank look medical people get when they're looking at something bad but don't want to tell you yet.

Oh, and I hated drinking that stuff. Ick, ick, ick!! I came so close to puking that Hubby told me to stop (he's an internist) and tell them I'd had half of it. The IV was totally weird (I really felt like I was peeing but wasn't--what's up with that?!), but it was better than drinking that stuff. I have to get it done again this month to check up on the surgery and stuff. *sigh* I hope I don't have to drink anything.

I'm sure yours is going to be okay and they're going to find out that it's something simple and treatable. I'll be praying for that--and a fast but accurate read from the radiologist. :)
