1. K & R
Be prepared for Blackwater supporters to come out in full force and to disparage Scahill.

2. C=Span interviewed him over the weekend and it was fantastic....
He really laid it all out about Blackwater and is very well spoken and easy to listen to even if the subject gives cold chills in how this Mercenary Army is operating on it's own in Iraq...accountable only to itself.

Thanks for posting the "DN" interview! Hopefully C-Span will rebroadcast their interview.

5. Saw the After Words interview and ordered the book
He also talked about a book called Corporate Warriors: The Rise of the Privatized Military Industry by P.W. Singer. I got it from my library, read the first chapter and ordered it immediately. Although the work is more scholarly, I found it riveting and can hardly wait till it arrives. There are some paragraphs where each sentence has a footnote.

There are many of these companies and they operate all over the globe. They fight, they train armies and they have access to some of the most sophisticated weapons available. Scary stuff, imo - but I want to learn as much as I can.
