How come the GOP wants to kill MediCare, Social Security, MediCade, and the proposed universal care
plans yet to be finalized???

They hate Socialism so bad they wish to reject systems already in place and working just fine...? WTF is that?

2. money and power. Look at the money flowing between corporations and
old white men who like their power. Social systems tend to equalize persons.

4. They hate ALL entitlement programs.
They always have. They fought against Roosevelt's plans just as hard as they are fighting today.

They apparently don't want to see anyone benefit from government programs. I guess because then they have to pay more taxes, poor babies.

They see no reason compelling enough to make them want to share.

9. I'd like to see these anti government GOPers actually be for something.
I mean they rail and whine about the possibility of even having a government option available. Yet all there town hall disruptors and douche bags are scared they'll lose their medicare. That's stupid, I think the law ought to be all or none. You don't want a public option then there is no government healthcare. You want to keep Medicare everyone gets it no matter what age. Really we are talking about people between 18 and 62 if you're below or above respectivelybyoure covered with high quality healthcare yet in the middle you get screwed.

I would just like these congressmen and women go home and explain why government run healthcare is bad and there for so is Medicare, and must be stopped. See how many crazies suddenly become in favor of a public option.

of the Federal Government to provide such programs.
They belief Individualism is greatest value. It is
responsibility of the Individual to provide for themselves
and their families. Their Conservatism values Business
and you will observe Business and Corporations are given
first consideration by Republicans.

12. I think we should just file amendments preventing them from
participating in any government program. But then, I'm feelin' mean. . .haha.

Ok...I'll take that back. Since they insist this is THEIR "Christian" nation, we can require them to seek faith healing without government assistance before being admitted for medical treatment. It's just a way of respecting their right to "practice" their religious beliefs and encouraging them to do so. . .

ok...I am still feelin' mean...hahaha.

13. god, people
get with it! Newt said we can all just "make other arrangements!" It's not like we can't afford it! Quit whining! See, in their world, you have the money and the access...like Sarah P has three different ways to access free health care, so she can bitch about how we don't need it cuz it doesn't impact her. Newt et al, they have insurance that we pay for. Now, I didn't hear him offering that up...but I'm sure just as soon as John Fucking POW McCain stops taking disability from the VA and SS, all the "fiscal conservatives" will give up their free access that we pay for. It's not like they can't afford to pay cash anyway, it's that they don't want to.

what do you not get about that? If you're chosen, see, god determines that you get health care. God picked the C street boys this time around and the rest of us can just die in the gutter.

Vote Republican, because they don't give a shit about anyone but themselves. the morally bankrupt party that can run the country into the ground faster than you can get a denial letter from your insurance company!

18. It comes down to money
the wealth produced by the blood and sweat of your labors belongs to them. Not you. That's why they think providing you with a bigger share of the wealth you produce is "redistribution of wealth".

Why should they give a fly crap about your medical wellbeing. If you can no longer produce just fucking die and stop costing them money. That's how they see it.

19. They believe in freedom
but not in a way that the American people actually understand or would accept if realized. They forget that these social safety net programs were created to solve real problems the private sector did not address when free to do so.

The private sector and individual liberty was not sufficient to address the problem of homeless and starving elderly. People did not like this result. Because of this, the American people through their activism and elected representatives invented Social Security. Having invented social security, folks noted that simply keeping these folks fed and off the street was still not sufficient, the elderly still had health concerns and that they could not afford to see doctors or get medical care at hospitals. The American people did not like this result, so they invented Medicare. If the private sector and individual liberty were sufficient to address these social ills, the programs never would have existed, as prior to Social Security and Medicare, the private sector and individual liberty was in charge. If the free market was ever sufficient, the programs would never had existed, as the problem would have been there to address. The free market had been in charge for nearly 200 years.

Most folks these days really do not like paying taxes. This has not always been the case. Taxes in this country used to be much higher, particularly on the privledged. Folks complained a bit, but paid them, and for the most part fairly honestly. These folks today want their taxes cut.

What they do not want, is granny and grandpa homeless and hungry, but they don't get that this is exactly what they are asking for, as these problems actually existed when the private sector and individual liberty were in charge of everything.

At one time, children were exploited as cheap labor, sanitation was poor, the rivers were toxic and occasionally caught fire, the food supply was dangerous, old people simply ran out of money and starved. All this happened with the private sector and individual liberty in charge. Government stepped in and fixed some of this stuff because the American People demanded it, through elections, protests, and riots where people died.

These were not the halcyon days of an imagined past where all was milk and honey. They were in fact the gritty, grimy, hard and bloody days of an actual past that people (our grandparents and great-grandparents) fought long and hard to work their way out of. It is unfortunately too far back to be within living memory, so people can go on with their fantasies of what life was like before all this, and imagine a nirvana they will recreate, which unfortunately for all of us never existed.

26. The funny thing is
that if all government disappeared tomorrow, the outcry from these same folks would be overwhelming. Then they would immediately set about inventing government again.

They are all about freedom, right up to the moment their neighbor does something they do not approve of. At that point they demand that government fix it.
